Lazarus is a free guestbook script written in PHP that uses your MySQL database for storage and is based upon the excellent Advanced Guestbook script from Proxy2.

I took the Advanced Guestbook and added more features and several layers of anti spam protection to make one of the most feature rich and spam resistant guestbook scripts available for free.

Testers Needed For 1.9b2

I have just made some changes to 1.9 that removes all instances of the chdir function. This means Lazarus should work on all hosts even those tightly locked down. Please remember that if you are going to test 1.9 beta 2 then make a back up of your existing files first. Also remember there is a new function that makes sure you have updated your database. If you want to see it in action just don't run the smart updater before visiting your guestbook.

Ok how to test the chdir changes.
1 - Check that the list of templates is populated in the Templates section of admin
2 - Do a scan dir in Smilies (links near the bottom) .
3 - Check that the captcha image is showing.

It will be obvious if the changes haven't worked as it will show a lot of errors
